2. Policy Intervention

Second, to strengthen the resiliency of a nation from the effects of climate change, well researched policies are implemented for public interventions. This is a micro approach that depends on local or regional conditions. Hence, this same local policy interventions are the outcomes of the collaborative efforts of all nations – to reach to a list of carefully studied approaches. Then, a given locality can choose to adopt from these approaches based on what they deem beneficial to both the public and private sector.  Of course, there should be a thorough understanding of a locality’s setting in order to arrive into an effective policy. Moreover, the government must prioritize funding in order to widely and effectively implement this set of policy. Ultimately, policy interventions such as community based environmental planning, disaster risk management, environmental protection and many other policies enable a community to fight the threats of climate change.
